Can the owner of a Netflix account see what you are watching?
Yes! Log onto Netflix on a desktop and go to Account or My account and under the profile there is an option for “"viewing activity” then “recent account access.”. It will show which devices are currently or were previously logged on and the exact time.
Go to the details page of a TV show or movie in the Continue Watching row. From the menu, select Remove from Continue Watching.
You can choose whether or not to receive notifications from Netflix about TV shows and movies, suggested titles, and other topics. To turn notifications on or off, follow the instructions for your mobile device.
Open Viewing Activity for that profile. On the Activity page, click the hide icon next to the episode or title you want to hide. If you hide an episode, you'll see the option to hide the entire series. To hide all of your viewing history, select the Hide all option at the bottom of the page and confirm.
If you are under 18 they can use parental controls to monitor what you are allowed to see. It's a circle with a slash through it to the right of the movie or episode title. Doing so will immediately remove the movie or episode from your viewing activity list; Netflix will also stop sending you recommendations based on the movie or episode.

The information associated with your membership is listed under the “Your Account” link in the upper right corner. The “Manage Devices and Computers” link under the Plan section lists all devices you have connected to your Netflix account.
Finding your viewing history on Netflix is a simple affair. Visit Netflix.com, ensure you're logged in and then hover over your profile name. Select Your Account from the menu. Now, scroll down to the bottom and select Viewing Activity.
After 24 hours, Netflix will erase your history.
Can you kick someone off Netflix without changing password?
If the person you want to kick off knows your password, you will need to change your password while logging out of your account on all devices. Netflix does not currently have the option to sign out of individual devices. You must sign out of all devices to kick someone off.
How Netflix detects devices within a household. We use information such as IP addresses, device IDs, and account activity from devices signed into the Netflix account.

The company won't use GPS data for tracking. Instead, it will leverage the same data it uses to provide the service, such as device IDs, IP addresses and information about devices signed in. This way, Netflix can identify if passwords are being shared outside a household, per the report.
